New Years Eve Birthday

This morning we celebrated Papa Tom with Liege Waffles and a whole lot of bacon.

He turned 67 today!

Papa Tom is such a great grandpa.

The grandkids can always count on him to drop everything to play a game, read a book, or to just talk.

My Dad has had a rough week or so.

Just before Christmas he got a really bad rash on the left side of his face and head.  

We thought it was a reaction to his last chemo treatment but when I took him to the Dr yesterday he was diagnosed with shingles.  It had affected his eye so we also went to see an eye Dr.  His eye looked okay so that was good.  After the Dr appointments we went for the Lunch Special at El Sol.  We both love the lunch special there but didn't know it until today.  After Dad's 3rd round of chemo Chinese food tasted good to him.  This round it's been Mexican.
