Pictures and one eyed Esty

Today was picture day for the kids.  The girls got curls and Estabon shaved the peach fuzz off his face and we headed to the park.

I usually like to do their pictures in October but October kind of got away from me so here we are.

Estabon has started making custom cell phone cases in addition to his custom socks.  They are siiiiiiick (as he would say).

They all smiled pretty and no one whined.  When I get around to choosing my favorites I'll post them.

Everyone got rewarded with milkshakes for their complain-free cooperation.

I got to spend a few hours shopping with Emmy.  She needed a bunch of clothes and I needed pants.  I also took her to a dentist appointment.  She hadn't been to the dentist in a year and a half with her busy college life but she only had one cavity so she's hoping I'll let her go another year and a half before the next visit.

Jax and Aubrey got to take Papa Tom to his chemo appointment today.  He's halfway through the treatments and it's going really well over all.  He says he feels better than he did all summer.  Mickayla was in town so they all went to lunch.

Lilly learned to make snowflakes this week.  To say she's obsessed with making them would be an understatement.  I am finding tons of her beautiful snowflakes all over the house.

Loved having my girls in the kitchen getting thanksgiving food ready.  Emmy and Gracie are making grandma Emmy's famous stuffing.

The day was going so well until around 6 when I got a call from Jackson telling me Dakota got hit in the eye with a racquetball.

We got to check out the ER by our house and also the ER at PCMC since that was the only hospital with an eye specialist on call.  Esty could only see a white glaze out his left eye and we could see the blood filling up in his eye.  It was gross.  Gratefully by the time we headed home his sight was returning.

Getting a CT scan.

Wearing CT bibs.

He got a kick out of taking pictures of his eye.  It looked much worse up close and in person.

He has Hyphema and we are grateful that he should be ok.  He has to wear a patch and have steroid drops and some other drops and go back for a follow up appointment tomorrow.

Jax passing the time waiting for his brother to come home...

Reunited and it feels so good...
