The Big Sister

This morning Lilly saw Baby Kevin's box in my closet.  

She pulled it out and asked me what was inside.

I explained to her that it was some of Baby Kevin's special things and together we looked at everything in the box.  She knows she has a brother named Baby Kevin and she talks about him just like the other kids do but today as we talked she seemed to make the connection that she is his big sister. 

I showed her this picture of her holding him and I could see she was connecting the dots.

I explained that she was still a baby herself when he was born and I told her how thankful I was to Heavenly Father for sending her to me.  Having Baby Lilly throughout my pregnancy and the months that followed Baby Kevin's passing was such a gift.
