Jesus

Janie has been loving getting up early before school to study the scriptures with us.

The other day in church I look over and she is highlighting all the "Jesus's" on the page.  We've talked about how the scriptures testify of Jesus Christ and how just about every page in the scriptures mention our Savior and teach us about the Atonement.

I had an institute teacher who was a Bishop share with us that whenever he had a member of his congregation who was struggling with their testimony or thinking of leaving the church his advice to them was to prayerfully read The Book of Mormon and highlight all of the references to Jesus Christ.  He said those who took his advice were able to find their testimony again and recommit to Jesus Christ and his church.  I find it interesting how many people, when their testimony's are faltering, rather than looking to the scriptures turn to the internet for answers.  I am so grateful for the scriptures and for living prophets who I can turn to for guidance, and for a Heavenly Father who I can pray to, who hears me and answers my prayers.
