Happy 3rd Birthday Baby Kevin
It's been an emotional week for me.
Actually an emotional few weeks.
Not emotional as in sadness but rather I have felt an incredible amount of love from my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ and Baby Kevin has been near as we've celebrated his birthday.
My view a couple of mornings this past week during my morning prayer and scripture study.
I have thought a lot this past week of how through the Atonement, our Savior can make our greatest struggles and heartaches become our greatest blessings.
Since Baby Kevin's birthday falls on Mother's Day this year we celebrated today.
Kevin and the big kids did baptisms at the Ogden temple.
Being in the temple is one of the many ways we are able to connect with our son and our brother. As he does missionary work in heaven, bringing others to Christ, we can be baptized as proxies for our dead, helping to bring them into Christ's church. Kevin shared these messages with us after they finished at the temple.
While they were all in the temple the girls and I shopped for windmills and other stuff. Before we knew it we'd dropped $40. bucks at the Dollar Tree.
Next stop was Grandpa Moons.
Grandpa asked Aubrey questions about her family and then he told us about the gold that lies in the hills behind his house and how to fix a car with a button.
Next stop: The Dude Ranch
If you know Gracie, then you know she really needs this book.
We dined on the best salad bar in Malad, french dip sandwiches, hangaburgers, Malibu chicken, and corn dogs dipped in hot chocolate.
Raspberry white chocolate almond ice cream cones and a brain freeze for dessert.
The cemetery is beautiful this time of year!
We remembered the vinegar this visit and Jackson cleaned up Baby Kevin's headstone.
We sang songs and talked about all that has happened in the last three years.
They have been years full of blessings.
They have been years full of blessings.
This year we decided to let off lanterns instead of balloons.
We needed to wait until dark to set off the lanterns but decided to do a tester to make sure they would work. There was quite a bit of wind so we weren't holding our breath.
We finally got it lit and after Aubrey chased it for a while we gave up.
The wind was not our friend today so we decided to try again tomorrow.
Happy Birthday Baby Kevin!
We love you and are so grateful for all the blessings you've brought our family.
