Sick on the Trip
Kevin trying to soak in some Vitamin D.
Kevin has had shoulder problems for a few years.
In 2012 he threw out one of his shoulders playing racquetball and then a year or so later he started having trouble with the other shoulder. He has to be so careful how and where he sleeps or he wakes up with terrible pain. There's some sort of nerve damage happening and he can't raise his arm above his head.
Sleeping on Bobby and Steph's guest bed really aggravated his shoulder. Kev was in so much pain he could hardly stand it. Stephanie suggested he go to her Acupuncturist so he did...
(She also suggested he sleep with her big pregnancy pillow so he did)
I'm happy to say that Kevin is a new man with a new and improved shoulder.
Not only can he lift his arm above his head without pain, he can lift things he hasn't been able to lift in a couple of years. Yay for alternative medicine! And yay for Steph loaning Kev her pregnancy pillow :)
Apparently the family that pukes together stays together.
Last time we visited Rob and Steph both our family's got sick with the pukes.
Towards the end of this trip it happened again.
Thank goodness it was a short lived 24 hour bug. A couple of us still had it on the drive home so we loaded up with ginger ale, Coke, and crackers and powered through.
Esty was one of the sickies.
The poor guy had the chills too.
But don't you worry, by the end of the drive he was eating ice cream.
We read this book on the trip and all the kids liked it.
I think there are 3 more books in the series.
