My Valentines

Last night the husband and I went out for our Valentines date.

We celebrated our 27th year of being each other's Valentines :)

We went to our favorite place for cheese fries and filet mignon and then hunkered down in our room for the night and watched 3 episodes of Downton Abbey and ate almost an entire Costco size bag of Kettlecorn.  

Kevin won't admit it, but he's a big Downton fan.

Tonight was our family Valentines Day dinner.

I simplified the Valentines meal a few years ago to Papa Murphy's pizza.  They even make the pepperoni pizza into a heart :)

The girls decorated place mats with their lips, my red lipstick (which I'm too conservative to ever wear and only use for Halloween makeup) and Kloe's Miranda pink lipstick (against her will).

All my favorite Valentines and missing my Valentines in Brazil and Logan...

Em sent her dad and I the nicest message this week...

We plug along from day to day, trying to raise our kids to be good Christians and responsible adults.  I am very grateful for those moments where we realize we've had some success :).
