Gladys

My dear friend Gladys Pearson was laid to rest today.

She died unexpectedly last week.  Although she was in her 80's she was sharp and active.  I have had the privilege of being her visiting teacher and friend for many years and she and I went to the temple together every month to do initiatory work.  I loved her dearly and am so grateful for the things she taught me in the way she lived.  I would often think, "I hope I'm as strong and faithful as Gladys is when I am her age."

I was able to go to a few minutes of Esty's game at Granger High School this afternoon.  I graduated from Granger and in the last few years the entire Granger campus has been re-built and it is beautiful!
