Strength Beyond My Own
Janie likes to write her name on everything that belongs to her.
Lilly entertained herself with a cart while I had keys made at the Walmart.
She's pretty cute.
And when she gets in a nap and a good night sleep she's REALLY cute.
I've been thinking about THIS talk Elder Bednar gave this past April General Conference. I've also been thinking a lot about the day Baby Kevin was born. THIS video Kevin made for me brought back so many vivid memories of the feelings of that day. I have no doubt the Lord strengthened me that day and throughout my pregnancy. He strengthened our entire family.
Elder Bendar stated,
Making and keeping sacred covenants yokes us to and with the Lord Jesus Christ. In essence, the Savior is beckoning us to rely upon and pull together with Him, even though our best efforts are not equal to and cannot be compared with His. As we trust in and pull our load with Him during the journey of mortality, truly His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
We are not and never need be alone. We can press forward in our daily lives with heavenly help. Through the Savior's Atonement we can receive capacity and "strength beyond [our] own".
Life on this earth truly is a journey and I am grateful I don't have to go it alone. Not only did Christ strengthen me during those days but he helped me to see the blessings of the experience. He turned my sorrow and disappointment into joy and gratitude for many beautiful blessings. I am so thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ and I love him with all my heart.
