Missionary Monday -Week 4 in Noronha
I don't have a whole lot to say for this week.
There are 26 missionaries in our zone and 8 of them were transferred this week. Which would be fine, but we are only half way through the transfer. I guess when an area isn't performing they just shake things up again mid transfer. I'm not a fan of that philosophy, but whatever.
I had to go to a new missionary training this week. That sucked. It lasted almost all day. We practiced inviting people to be baptized and memorized the points of the first three discussions. I wouldn't have minded it if I had been there 8 months ago.
This week I have been trying to push myself with the Portuguese. During lessons and contacts I just open my mouth with nothing to specific in mind to say. It has been interesting. I never really know what is going to come out. Sometimes its awesome and sometimes it is a disaster. Brazilians are super patient though and with all the crazy stuff that happens here there isn't really anything I can do to seriously embarass myself.
The zone leaders (my companions) have been freaking out because the zone has tanked so I will be on divisions every day this week. I'm not really looking forward to that. They think that the missionaries just don't know how to work efficiently. I think it is because we can't baptize kids as easily anymore and that eliminates 75% of the missions teaching pool. The only reason we continue to have baptism is because my companions find ways to get around the rule for baptizing kids.
Oh! I almost forgot. Izzy (Brother Swan's daughter) got baptized in Marshall last week and Leah's son is getting baptized on the 21st! I freaking love Marshall.
The USB port on my computer is broke so no pictures this week, sorry. Good luck with the snow :)
