Gracie's Special Day!
Gracie turned 8 today!
And was also baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She asked Jackson to baptize her...
And her dad to confirm her...
It was a beautiful service. We sang two of her favorite songs, I Am a Child of God and When I Am Baptized--Grandma Jan played the piano. Aunt Kimmy (piano), cousin Kaitlynn, Kloe, Emmy and Gracie (violins), played Baby Kevin's song, I Belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Prayers were given by Papa Tom and Mama Linda and Aunt Tami gave a talk on Baptism and Papa Dave gave a talk on The Holy Ghost.
Several of Gracie's friends and Primary leaders came. Sister Andrus, the Primary President (on the right) spotlighted Gracie. A few things you may not know about Gracie are...
When she grows up she wants to be a dance teacher and a mom.
Things she likes to do is play with Lilly and be outside a lot.
Her favorite scripture story is Daniel in the lions den.
Her favorite temple is the Hawaii Temple
Her favorite foods are salad wraps and pesto pasta.
What she likes about school is celebrating Mexico in her Spanish class and getting chips and salsa!
She tries to follow Jesus by being a good example.
Aunt Tami gave Gracie a charm bracelet with 3 Bears to remind her of her baptismal covenants to:
"Bear" Christ's name
"Bear" her testimony of Jesus Christ
and "Bear" one another's burdens

It was also the Sollis Family Night so we gathered for Gracie's Roast Beef birthday dinner and chocolate cake!
Gracie, we love you and are so grateful you are a part of our family. We are proud of you for the choice you made to be baptized. You are a wonderful daughter and sister!
