A Good Morning
I love Stake Conference. I've heard people over the years refer to Stake Conference as a day off from church but I wouldn't miss it. I remember years ago we went to a Stake Conference and President James E. Faust surprised everyone by showing up to speak. He was one of my favorite General Authorities. It was so great to witness him speak in person. Every conference seems to have something just for me or for our family. Yesterday President Tindall told about a new Mission that will be organized in the Murray and Taylorsville areas. We'll get 300 additional full time missionaries. President Tindall challenged the families in the stake to do 3 things. One of them was to read The Book of Mormon from start to finish by July 1st and highlight all of the places where a "rescue" is mentioned. The foyers were filled with Book of Mormon's so everyone could have one just for this purpose. Sunday night we came together as a family to talk about participating in this challenge. We just started our new family Book of Mormon study program several weeks ago (and are loving it) and we are still each reading individually to reach our family goal. After discussing it we decided to take the challenge. In order to do it we've put our current family study program on hold and we decided to get up a little earlier so we'd have more time to read. We tweaked the procedure to work for our family and day 1 was a huge success!
Miss Janie looks so much like Emmy did at her age. Emmy calls her "mini me". This morning Janie was SO excited when Emmy put curlers in her hair!
It makes Janie so sad she's too big to climb right in with Lilly!
The husband ran another unofficial 5K this morning--beat his time by a minute and a half...run Kever run!
A morning just isn't a morning without watching a little Curious George with the girlies.
