The Best Day
Our day started with Stake Conference (which I'll talk more about tomorrow). My two handsome sons sang in the Priesthood leadership choir--Redeemer of Israel, The Lord is My Shepherd, and The Spirit of God. They won't admit it, but I think they liked it :)
After conference Jackson was ordained to the office of an Elder. The men surrounding him were those who participated in the ordination. In order from left to right: Bishop Mike Ray, Steve Beck (uncle), David Beck (Grandpa), Jax, Jax's Dad, Tom Sollis (Grandpa) and President Kevin Tindall. Such a special day for Jackson and our family. As I sat watching him I kept thinking, it doesn't seem all that long ago that I was pregnant with him. I remember the week he was born so clearly. And here we are today with our oldest taking steps to serve his mission in about a year, and getting ready to welcome our youngest in just a few days.
Jackson with his good friend Danial. The only draw back to Jackson attending Highland is he had to leave Daniel behind at Taylorsville.
Jackson has been blessed to live within just a few minutes of both pairs of grandparents his entire life. They have been such a great support to Jax and all our kids.
I eat up every moment he spends with the little ones...I'm going to miss this when he heads to college in the Fall :(
The day ended with Jackson's Seminary Graduation.
This is Jackson with his friend Vika--who also graduated from Highland Seminary and played football with Jackson. Vika and Jackson were among the minority since most of the kids in our area graduated from Taylorsville Seminary.
So grateful to be your parents Jackson and so pleased with all the decisions you are making.
We love you!
