Treasures
The ultrasound went much faster than all the others we've had. I was right, Kevin has dropped so she couldn't get a clear picture of his brain or face. Everything else they saw with his heart and kidneys still point toward Trisomy 13. It's amazing to me that his heart can be so "wrong" but still beat normally. He's also measuring small, which is to be expected. We talked with the Dr about a birth plan. She's confident she'll know when she sees the baby if he does in fact have Trisomy 13. If that is the case we'll just take him and have him with us for however long he can survive. If she does not think it's Trisomy 13 then we'll send him to Primary Children's hospital to be tested and assessed. If this is the scenario a lot will depend upon the baby--we'll take our cues from him, if he wants to fight we'll fight right along with him.
In two weeks we'll have another appointment with the Dr and with a neonatal specialist.
The girls have been looking forward to a visit to the Dollar Store all week. It cracks me up how excited they get over all this garbage, I mean all these treasures.
