The Parable of the Taurus & The Froggie Potty
It was Kevin's turn for Family Night. He marched us outside, gave everyone a pair of gloves and asked Jackson to pull the Taurus up onto the driveway...
When Jackson couldn't get the job done he asked Emmy to help...
then Dakota...
still couldn't pull it up the driveway so he had everyone else join in...
and we did it!
At dinner earlier Kevin was explaining to the little ones what a parable is...so he named his lesson "The Parable of the Taurus" and explained that when one person tries to do all the work it's hard and tiring, even with 2 or 3, still hard and tiring, but when everyone pitches in it's easy.
He then when on to talk about the Summer break coming up and how it's not fair to Mom when we make messes and don't help keep the house in order...etc etc. He also talked about Christ and how he can help lift our burdens.
I had no idea he had any of this planned--it was my favorite family night ever and seriously, I've never wanted him more!

I picked up the froggie potty at the Wal-mart yesterday with high hopes that we could get this child potty trained before she turns 3 (we still have 4 months). Aside from church, she spent the entire day on her froggy potty!
