Our Christmas Vacation

On December 19th we headed to the mountains for a family cabin trip.

While it rained in the valley, it snowed in the mountains...

and snowed...and snowed...

and snowed some more!

The thing I love most about our cabin trips is having Kev and the kids all to myself with NO DISTRACTIONS!

We've been playing B-I-N-G-O at the cabin since I was 9.

My Grandma Emmy started the tradition...she'd bring a bag full of candy bars for the prizes.

EATING--one of the favorite things to do at the cabin...

Bacon wrapped sausage...Kota's little creation.

Janie only gets her binky's when she goes to bed...she thought she was pretty smart finding herself some Mr Potato Head "binky's".

Building fires is another cabin favorite...the older kids have contests to see who can start a fire with the least amount of matches--doesn't take much to entertain them.

We shoveled the deck 3 times...

The scenery was beautiful...

The only bad thing about the cabin...

is leaving :(
