4th of July Celebrations

My Grandpa Moon won the
Farm Family of the Year Award
and was honored in the Malad City Parade!

His 4 daughters got to ride in the parade too.

Check out the tiny little horses pulling them.

This was seriously the funnest parade any of us had ever been to.
Uncle Rick busted his move for all to see.

Kev and Jax had front row seats.

Rick brought his horn in honor of soccer fans everywhere.

The kids made a haul!
Better than Halloween!

Very creative "floats"!

Kevin's favorite float.

Jaxer's favorite.

We did our part to send an ambulance to Guatemala.
Of course Uncle Bobby wisdom-toothed everyone and donated a 5 spot.

After the parade we headed to the park for lunch, visiting, a soccer game and some fiddlin' entertainment!

Isn't that Grandpa of mine handsome!
We get a lot of questions about our shirts...
Here's the story--when Kevin was on his mission in Oklahoma he loved going to a place called "Eskimo Joes" in Stillwater.
It's a little like a Hard Rock Cafe but WAY COOLER.
They have the best cheese fries EVER.
Kevin and I have been back to Oklahoma twice since we've been married--just to visit Eskimo Joes.
We have lots of Joe's clothes, cups, bags, 2 license plates (check out the front of our cars), magnets, etc.
If you're ever in Oklahoma, check them out!

The "Sollis" Family with Grandpa.

It was a great day and to top it all off we picked up some lottery tickets so everyone keep your fingers crossed!

I'm so mad that we couldn't be there!! We really thought about making the drive, but decided we would probably end up having a baby in Wamsutter, Wyoming and it wouldn't be worth it. It looks so fun and I'm so sad that we missed it and missed seeing everyone. Love the matching shirts!!

I'm sad I missed Grandpa's big day! It would have been fun to see everyone. Troy had too much going on at work, and I'm too big of a chicken at this point to drive out with a nursing baby and a two year old. Looks like such a fun day. Am I right to assume that Kevin is as big of a fan of parades as Troy? I think we've been to one since we got married, and he sat in the car (and not because he had a good view.:) Love the picture of your family with Grandpa. He's a good lookin' man with a posterity that's not bad on the eyes.:)
