Hopeful

The Beck House

We absolutely love our little home.
We especially love the history it holds.
Grandma and Grandpa Beck purchased it in the 1950's and raised five boys in this house!

We've had lots of extra family time, due to Kevin losing his jobs :(.
His day job found out about his night job, decided it was a conflict of interest, and booted him.
They also canceled their business with the best repo company in the state (Kevin and his partner's company, aka his night job).
It's a little frustrating as to why it was a conflict when the bank was getting their cars repo'd faster than the other companies they'd worked with, but, what's done is done.
Kevin had several "shoe-in" leads and none of them panned out.
It's been a rough few months for him.
He ended up taking a job with North American Recovery, a collection company.  He hates regular collections, but he loves his boss and it's a great work environment.  His boss is taking the whole office to Moab next month.  Gratefully, Kevin was only out of work just over a month.  Kevin and his partner also started a new repo company.  They bought a tow truck and everything.  I'm the secretary, so I answer all the calls.  Time will tell how all this pans out, but for now we are hanging in there.

Dakota LOVES his Papa Tom.
He's content hanging out with him.

Summer hasn't been all fun.
The kids have had some chores.
Even Dakota wanted to help.

The kids have been really great distractions from the job stress!

I saw a new internist and she recommended I see Dr Aioki, an ENT.  He was very thorough, and couldn't find anything wrong with my sinuses.  I have had blessings to be healed, but for some reason it's not time yet.  I've been trying to figure out the cause of the face and jaw pain and headaches for 18 months.  One night after having been up with Dakota, my head and jaw pounding, a killer case of hay fever and a possible case of pink eye, I decided to take a different approach with God.  I asked Kevin for a blessing, and instead of asking (again) for healing, I asked for a blessing of comfort and to be given greater strength to handle this trial.  That blessing has made all the difference.  It's hard to explain how nothing can be different, yet everything seems different, life feels easier to manage and far more hopeful.

We also spent some time on Grandpa Moon's farm.
The kids love to go there and spend time with their Great Grandparents.
