An Anniversary, Christmas and a New Job

My parents celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary December 16th!
We invited all my siblings and grandparents to a breakfast at our place to celebrate.

I have been blessed with the best parents!
So grateful God sent me to them.

Grandma Emmy and Grandma Dee Dee live only a few minutes from us, so they were able to come too!
My Grandma Moon gave all of us a scare last month when she suffered another stroke.
She had to be in the hospital for a while and then rehab.
She had her first stroke in her 40's.
It really effected her right side so she's had to walk with a brace and learn to write with her left hand.
She inspires all of us with her strong spirit and great attitude.
I've never ever heard her complain.

We had our Moon Christmas party at Aunt Judy and Uncle Alex's house.
It was different than past years.
We were small in number, and instead of our usual big ham dinner, we ordered pizza.

Any party where Grandpa and Grandma Moon are is the best party!

Jackson learned to say "Santa" just in time for Christmas.
He's talking up a storm.
This boy has so much energy!  He always wants to "play".
He loves ham, juice, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and grapes.

I am finally starting to feel better.
I think the morning sickness is behind me, and I can no longer fit into my regular clothes.

We put Jackson to bed at 8:30 Christmas Eve and had to wake him up at 8am.
He is not an early riser.
Not even for Santa.

We had our traditional Christmas breakfast with Kevin's family at his Grandma and Grandpa Keith's.
They spoiled all of us.
We spent the rest of the day at his parent's house playing ping pong and just relaxing.

Jackson knows and loves all his grandparents.
He has so many, with all the great grandparents too!
He's so lucky!
His Papa Tom turns 47 tomorrow!

Kevin and Jackson stayed home from church last week because Kevin was on call at the mortuary.
Kevin got busy doing homework so Jackson decided to get his markers out and do his "homework".
Turns out, washable markers aren't always washable :)

We can't believe this little guy will be 2 soon!
The other day I told him to close his eyes and put out his hands so I could give him a surprise.

It was hard not to peek ;)

In other news, our boat (aka big blue chevy) broke down again, most recently twice in one week.  So we bought a new car.  We were hoping to steer clear of a car payment but we succumbed.  We are now driving a little red Toyota Corolla.
Kevin's job was recently dissolved at the bank.  Several people he works with lost their jobs, but thankfully he was assigned to a different position.  He's now a Repossession Clerk, but he refers to himself as the "Copy Man".  It's basically doing all the work in the department that the other people don't want to do.  He's looking to apply for a different position in the bank, so we are crossing our fingers something else works out soon.
