A Minor Flood and a New Job

August 1994

We celebrated Kevin's 23rd birthday with Kevin's family and raspberry dessert cake--his favorite!

I surprised Kevin and took him to a bed and breakfast in Manti for his birthday gift.
We left Jackson with Kevin's family, so it was just the two of us.
We went to the Manti temple twice.  It's definitely one of my favorite temples.
We ate at the only restaurant in Manti.  Food was good, service was terrible.
We set some new marriage goals, including getting back to our weekly date nights.

This baby just keeps getting cuter!
And, he's started giving open mouth kisses :)
He also grunts a lot and smacks his lips.
He has had thrush, an ear infection and a cold, which has been miserable for him, but he's been extra snuggly which I've loved!

In October we took family pictures with my family.

Halloween was so much fun!
I made a sorry attempt at sewing Jackson an Abu costume.

Jackson was the first and only grandchild until Mickayla was born in August.
He is SPOILED.

We are loving living downstairs from Marci and Rhett.
We get together often for dinner and games.  Kevin and Rhett hunt and fish and Marci and I craft, shop and hang out.  Speaking of Marci, Jackson LOVES her.

In other news...
We bought our first washer and dryer.
There are five families living at the mortuary and they each pay us 10 bucks a month to use the washer and dryer, which we think is a pretty good set-up.  There was a little hiccup when Kevin tried to hook up the washer.  It involved a minor flood, but in the end Kevin was only three hours late to work, and the carpet in the casket room eventually dried out.
We also went against all our money beliefs and bought a camcorder on credit.
We convinced ourselves it is definitely a necessity now that we have Jackson.
Jackson moved into his own room.
He is sleeping so good at night, as long as his dad puts him to bed.
Kevin got a new job working at Zion's Bank.  He was sad to leave Watkin's Printing, but it was time to move on.  This job has benefits and pays better.

Thanksgiving was at my parent's home this year.
Jackson is a big fan of big people food and the turkey dinner.
