A Busy Day and a New Dr

Today was a busy day. I wasn't home for most of it. With all of my extra Dr visits and such, my mom has been a lifesaver taking the girls. Janie LOVES coming to Mama Jan's--she always gets so excited when my Dad's van is in the driveway because that means Papa Tom is home too.
Lilly loves coming to Mama Jan's too--but this is her "I AM TIRED PUT ME DOWN FOR A NAP NOW" face. There is no reasoning with tired Lilly.
I was grateful to be able to spend some time here today...
I love doing initiatory work at the temple. I love to hear and be reminded of the blessings we're given. While I waited for my turn I was reading the Book of Mormon in 3rd Nephi chapter 13 and this verse really stood out to me. (verse 8) "...for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask him". All day I have been praying that I could end up with the right Dr for our situation. I was nervous about how long it would take for my file to be reviewed and I didn't want to be without a Dr for too long. As I was leaving the temple after 2pm I checked my messages. I had a message from Dr. Byrnes office. They had called at 8 this morning and I missed the call. This was the Dr my midwife felt was perfect for my situation. She's a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist at the University of Utah and has over 20 years of experience. The woman from her office said after hearing about my situation that Dr. Byrnes would be so happy to take me and she assured me that I was in good hands. I felt so relieved. She only sees patients one morning a week and worked me in next week for an office visit and another ultrasound. So grateful! Earlier today when I stopped home between errands I had a gift waiting for me on my porch. I was surprised to see that it was from my friend Candice. She'd came up from Lindon to bring me this little package. Candice is a friend from High School who has been through a similar circumstance to mine--twice. She brought me a book and some music that she thought would help. She also included a letter with advice and encouragement. Ever since we found out the baby had some problems I have not been able to get Candice out of my mind. I even dreamt the night before we went to the specialist that I had gone to see her to talk to her about some of her experiences. It's these types of things that have been constant reminders to me that God loves us, is aware of us and does know what we need before we ask.
