We Wiped Out Phase 4

I've mentioned a time or two that for the past several years we've been digging ourselves out of our debt hole and it was a deep one.
We've done it in phases.
Phase one began back in the late 2000's.  We paid off our personal debt (everything but our home), Kevin's tow trucks and land, and some of our other business debt.
Then we took a few years off and bought a car and a boat on credit.
In 2014 we got serious, made a plan, and started Phase 2 which was paying off the car and the boat.
Phase three was the business credit card debt.
Are you still with me?
Phase four was the mortgages on our old house.
Get this, when we bought our business back in 2001 we were able to get a 2nd mortgage on the old house to pay for the down payment on the business.  I don't know what kind of magic our loan officer worked but he got us a 2nd mortgage for way more than the first mortgage and we were upside down with that house for years.

This week we wiped out phase 4 with the sale of our beloved old Beck house.
Selling that little guy was tricky.  All the houses on the nearby streets were selling like hotcakes but the freeway right across the street was a wild card.  With Jeremy's help we finally hit the sweet spot with the price and it sold.

Yesterday we went to Logan to close with my favorite realtor/cousin and Kim, his favorite title lady.
I can't thank Jeremy enough for all his help!

We celebrated with a beautiful hike up Logan Canyon and some scone fries dipped in raspberry cream cheese from Morty's.  They came HIGHLY recommended by Aubrey and Jax and man were they fantastic!

Once we've finished funding our long term emergency fund we'll move onto phase 5 - paying off the rest of our home.  I don't even know what it would be like to not have a mortgage after having one for 21 years but I'm guessing we wouldn't hate it.
