Avoiding the Plague

I have decided that being a practically full time Primary and Sunday School substitute is the best job ever.
Saturday Marilyn dropped by this cute flower as a thank you for teaching her class last Sunday.  Earlier in the week Leslie brought me a lemon meringue pie for subbing in her class.
I've mentioned before I LOVE the primary songs and you never know what's going to come out of the mouths of the babes--It's pure entertainment.
(PS How cute is that S&P shaker snail my friend Karri gave me?!?!)

Yesterday I got to help the husband with his primary lesson.
We even coordinated our outfits :)
I always feel like Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar when we match.

The highlight of his lesson was after he told the kids about how as a kid he served his neighbor by pulling all the weeds in their backyard, Lilly raised her hand and says, "I thought you were going to tell the story of how you fell asleep in the tires at recess."  She loves that story.  So he went ahead and told the kids that story too.

Look who came to visit us today!
Uncle Bobby and Lyla are in town so we got to spend some time with them last night.

We're ready to get to work on our old house today.
The renters are all moved out and we're getting the house ready to sell.
We've wrestled with this decision since last Summer.  We LOVE this little house of ours but we've ran the numbers, prayed for direction, and have decided that it's the right thing to do.

Kevin's Patriarchal blessing says to avoid debt as you would avoid the plague.
Sadly, we embraced the plague for far too many years.
Selling this house pays off the remainder of our business debt, leaving us just with what's left on our personal home loan.  We can tell you from far too much experience that getting rid of debt is so much more satisfying than going into it.

Kever a few weeks ago doing some prep work for the plumber to put in a new sink.
This is a pretty cute house but it's going to be even cuter when we're finished with it.
