The Armor of God

We started off the weekend at our favorite Chinese restaurant with two of our favorite people. Mindy and Rick are great company and great food friends. They love all the same things we love at the Mandarin in Bountiful. Char Shu, Lettuce Wraps, Egg Rolls, Rice, Cashew Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, and Sweet and Sour Almond Chicken (we like our chicken). And they also like to drive the 40 minutes to Taggarts afterward for carrot cake and any other dessert that looks good.

That's all dessert.

We had no Chinese left overs.

Saturday morning me and Gracie got our craft on.

We made these cute 4th of July decorations.

Tested them out on the porch.

I am so ready for Summer weather.

These two survived 4 hours of the handcuff challenge.

I'm not really sure what it's for but somehow they managed to get dressed and do their hair.

Sunday night we gathered at Rick and Mindy's for our February Sollis Family Home Evening.

Papa Tom gave the lesson to introduce our 2017 scripture and theme.

He taught us about the protection we receive when we keep the commandments and live worthy to have the Holy Ghost with us.

Papa Tom (with the help of Estabon) explained the importance of putting on the full armor of God.

Ephesians 6:14-17

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against the flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
