Is it just me or does he look like Lilly in this picture?  A masculine version, of course.

Here is a little quote from our 2000 family Christmas letter...

"Dakota...is now 2.  We've always thought him to be the smartest of our three, however, at his 2-year checkup we were informed otherwise.  We took him to a new Pediatrician and to sum up the visit, Dakota has funny shaped legs, his speech is delayed, his head is too big, and the list goes on.  It's safe to say we are getting a second opinion.

Quote from our 2004 family Christmas letter...

Dakota started Kindergarten this year.  You'll all be glad to know our once "slow, flat-footed, big headed" child is no more!  Dakota took 3rd place out of all 3 Kindergarten classes in the Rosecrest 1 mile run.  He's turned into a regular Forest Gump--Run Kota!  Run!

And he hasn't stopped running :)

He beat his personal best running the 400 today and took 2nd in the 800 relay.

Love this kid and I'm not freaking out at all that my little Esty will be starting High School in 3 months!!

PS.. Esty's journalism teacher has started calling him Estabon.  Cracks me up!
