Day 2 - St Louis Temple

This is how we looked for 8 hours today...

Actually these 3 did a lot of sleeping but one of them deleted all my incriminating sleeping pictures.

Quick glimpse of Tulsa...

The children getting a bargain lunch, making the most of their food budget...

First stop in St Louis...

Esty getting dressed on a street in St Louis.

We rode in a tiny little pod to the top of the arch.  One of the children did NOT want to participate but her dad made her...

Our tiny little pod was behind door number 2.

It was a quick 4 minute ride to the top.

And the child who did not want to participate was glad she did (against her will)...

Next stop:  The St Louis Temple

We did baptisms for 46 people.  And learned from 1 Kings 7:23-26 in the Bible about some of the details of the baptistry.  Did you know?  Our temples are full of symbolism and attention to detail, some of which mirror the detail in King Solomon's temple.

Third stop:  Our first Triple D restaurant on the trip.

The verdict: Didn't love it.  It would seem the Beck's do not have an appetite for authentic soul food.

We'd like to take a moment to thank Solomon Northup (not to be confused with King Solomon) for entertaining us on our 8 hour drive.  And thanks to aunt Tricia for taking good care of our babies :).

Tomorrow it's on to Nauvoo...

PS- Mom!  And all my other Farley friends.  It's your last chance for some REAL NICE entertainment...
