And They Call the Thing Rodeo

We had a fun night at the Days of 47 Rodeo!

They threw t-shirts into the stands during intermission.
Janie was devastated when she didn't get one...

Did you know Mama Jan was quite the Cow Girl back in the day?

She and her horse Brownie were pretty much professional barrel racers!
One year she entered the Onieda County Rodeo Queen Pageant.  Her dad (my Grandpa Moon) bought her some fancy new jeans for the occassion.  They didn't have her size so they went with a size smaller.  When she tried to mount her horse the day of the pageant those jeans were so tight she couldn't get on the horse!  She was cracking me up all night with all of her fun facts about the ins and outs of the rodeo world!

We banked when they gave out a free loaf of bread to everyone who came to the rodeo :)

I have to say.  Some women have a thing for a man in uniform but I have a thing for a man in cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, tight jeans and a cowboy shirt!  The husband used to have a cowboy get-up he'd wear.  I loved it!
On the drive home I told the kids if we were cowboys I'd have named our boys Stetson, Cache and Hudson.
