The Relief Society

I love that I am a member of my church's Relief Society.  Did you know that it is one of the oldest and largest women's organizations in the world?

Here are a few fun facts about the Relief Society:

-Its motto is Charity Never Faileth

-It has over 6 million members in over 170 countries 

-It was formed on March 17th, 1842

-Its purpose and focus is gospel instruction, familial support, and humanitarian aid

A couple more fun facts: I met the president of the Relief Society, Linda Burton, a few weeks ago at the temple :) and my little sister Megan is her daughter Brynne's best friend.  And Brynne, if you are reading this, would you ask your mom what one must do to be invited to be on the Relief Society General Board?  I'm available :).

My children eating the spoils from our Relief Society cookie party I attended tonight :).  They love the Relief Society too :).

Miss Lilly woke up and happily declared that her nose is now working (she's had a stuffy nose this week).

We spent the day with Mommy Marci.  I think the girls would like to move in with Mommy Marci and her dog Cooper.
